The aim is to reduce/eliminate these manual steps (V1.1 will help with this soon). I have tried to keep the drawing as parametric as possible, but there are a number of manual steps involved. So a Stepfile output in CB would be really nice.Īttached is my working drawing for current CamBam V1, including some helper scripts. The reason why they requested the stepfile is that that kind of file is much better to use in machining as an stl file. I would really like you to show me how you did this. If both are done and cut away the excess material the edges would look exactly how you have made it. The top view that is copied out of the stair 2D. The blue outline is the back of the piece that needs wrapping around the back. The red outline is the front side which also should include the nestings. I also add the complete 3D DXF of that part with nestings that I have distilled out the complete 3D of the stair.Īlso, I add the 2d DXF with the machining ( developed DXF ). Difficult to check so I add here now the 3d view of the actual part and there you can see how the shape is made. So the edges you made are following the right curve. In fact, it is a 2d Dxf that needs to be wrapped around the shape but somehow you also manage to work the back of the part as the info I gave to eddy was only the front of the part on the machining side.
